I grew up surrounded by animals and have always loved them all, but cats have always held a special place in my heart. Iām a lifelong cat person through and through. My main job is wedding coordinator and DJ, which gives me a flexible schedule that works great for sitting visits.
At home, my husband and I share our space with four cats and one dog, each with their own personality, gender, and age... Hi there, Iām Joyce! My Chinese name is Zuer (pronounced zoo-ur), so feel free to call me either one, whatever feels natural to you.

At home, my husband and I share our space with four cats and one dog, each with their own personality, gender, and age. Our oldest cat is already 18 years old! Through years of caring for cats with such different temperaments, Iāve learned how to give shy cats their space and let them come to me on their own time, while also knowing how to give the more affectionate and playful ones a full massage treatment and/or an energetic wand toy session. Of course, Iāll always snap plenty of photos to send your way during our visits.
I also have experience giving medication and subcutaneous fluids with a partner, so your kittyās health needs are in good hands too.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
The little trilling sound that some cats make when they greet me. Those purrs when I got their right spots to scratch. Itās also super rewarding for me when the shy kitties finally open up to me. Whatās to not enjoy about cat sitting?
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes, I do. I have four cats with my husband. From oldest to the youngest, they are Clark, Yuumi, Haru and Cheddar.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have one timid/anxious cat myself. We became close because I gave her space. I did not approach her until she was comfortable to come close to me first. Until then, I was just minding my own business at that moment. But whenever she did come up to me, I would give her some treat to let her understand that Iām not a threat and itās actually a good thing to get close. I also controlled my movements to be slower and quieter so I donāt spook her when sheās unfamiliar with me. Cat pheromone spray was also something I used during that introduction time. Hence, I would treat any timid/anxious cat the same way I did to my little one š„¹

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
