What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
If you’re on the fence about hiring a new sitter, just know that we are cat parents too and have been in your shoes. It’s the hardest thing to know if you are doing what’s best for your pet. Do what feels right for your home, ask all the questions and know that I will treat your cat as I want my own to be treated, I understand how hard it is to leave medicated animals in the hands of others and I will never taking the responsibility you are giving me with anything other than respect.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I try to make myself as available as I can for cat parents. I know holidays are often when care is needed the most, I’m willing to work with your needs, just ask!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
It’s not uncommon to come across a furry friend who is a little more shy or even aggressive, defending their territory—as they are wired to do! In these instances, I take my cue from the parent, utilizing any previously successful strategies to provide whatever care they need. This could include having treats near the door so that they can be calmed with food as soon as I enter their space, or maybe they just need to know someone is there for them, no approach is necessary. Every kitty is different and I’m happy to discuss your concerns and needs.

Kelsey was amazing. I got texts and photos every day so I could see that both my kitties were doing well. They also needed some topical medicine, which she was able to dispense as well, which made me feel so much less anxious while I was traveling. I have never had someone I don't know watch my cats before, so this was a first for me and I was a bit nervous, but Kelsey was so good I felt immediately at ease and will definitely book her again!

Kelsey was great! She sent update pictures of my cat with a detailed description everything she had done and how he was doing. She even offered to water my plants! She was prompt and flexible enough to meet me in a hurry. 5 Stars!

I highly recommend you book Kelsey to take care of your little one(s)! Kelsey came over for a complimentary meet & greet prior to sitting, and the second I met her, I knew I had booked the perfect sitter! My very timid and shy cat usually hides for days when a new person comes over, and much to my surprise, she came out to greet Kelsey on the first visit. She has never done that before, but clearly sensed that she was safe and could trust Kelsey. I can't express the relief that gave me about entrusting my kitties' care to Kelsey. During my time away, Kelsey checked in with me each day, sending me photos and details about her visit. It was obvious that she takes her task of petsitting very seriously and wants to provide the best care for those she has been entrusted with. I returned from my trip to find 2 very happy and cared-for kitties, thanks to Kelsey. I will definitely book her again and highly recommend that you should too!!!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Saint Louis cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
