Iām Megan, a lifelong animal lover and proud cat mom to two cats of my own. I know how important it is to have someone you genuinely trust caring for your cats while youāre awayāand how much better a trip feels when you know theyāre happy, comfortable, and getting plenty of attention at home.
Iām patient and attentive to each catās individual personality, whether theyāre an outgoing cuddle bug, an energetic player, or a shy kitty who needs some time and space to warm up. During visits, Iām happy to handle feeding, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, brushing, treats, and, of course, plenty of affection for cats who want it.
Iām also very detail-oriented and will carefully follow your catās normal routine and any instructions you leave. I know even little things can matter when it comes to cats!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
Iāve been around cats for most of my life and currently have two of my own, so caring for cats is a big part of my everyday life. Iām comfortable with everything from feeding and litter box care to brushing, playtime, enrichment, and keeping an eye out for changes in behavior or appetite. I also understand that every cat is different, and Iām happy to adapt to their normal routine and personality. I treat other peopleās pets with the same level of care and attention I would want someone to give my own.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! Iām a very proud cat mom to two cats of my own, Poppy & Ginger. They have completely different personalities, which has taught me a lot about meeting cats where they are. One is more social and easygoing, while the other has taught me the importance of patience, reading body language, and letting a cat decide when theyāre ready for attention. Theyāre a huge part of my life, and being a cat parent myself is a big reason I understand how much trust it takes to leave your cats in someone elseās care.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I let the cat set the pace. I would never force interaction with a timid or anxious cat. Iāll give them space, keep my movements and voice calm, and spend time nearby so they can get comfortable with my presence. Iām happy to use treats or their favorite toys to build trust if their parent recommends it, but I also respect when a cat simply wants to observe from a safe spot. My priority is making their routine feel as normal and stress-free as possible while their person is away.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Charlotte cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
