I recently moved to Charlotte with my cat Frankie from New England and we love our new neighborhood! Frankie especially loves his new cat roommate and his outdoor cat friends. Since writing this, we have brought in 2 of our porch kitties (mom and baby twin tuxedo cats in the photos) and are hoping on getting more of the neighborhood cats spayed/neurered.
I have always been a cat lover and have several years of experience caring for cats of different ages and temperaments. My family fostered kittens and we also adopted a senior cat and provided a safe and welcoming “retirement home” for him to enjoy his last years with us. I adopted my own cat, Frankie, when I moved out after graduating college and have learned even more about cat behavior, health, and diet. Since moving to Charlotte, I have also been taking care of the countless stray cats in my neighborhood and slowly gaining their trust with the hopes of getting them to a vet for professional care. In my free time, I volunteer at the Humane Society of Charlotte where I have been given the opportunity to learn more about caring for cats and community cats.
I currently work remotely so I have a relatively flexible schedule and can tailor to yours and your cats needs. I know the anxiety of leaving your pet at home and strive to keep your cat happy and comfortable while you are away!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a sweet orange tabby boy named Frankie! My family adopted a senior cat, Chubbs, who was my best buddy but he has sadly passed.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I have a fairly flexible work schedule and would love to take care of your cats during holiday seasons.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I think it is super important to understand the cat’s body language and boundaries. I am very patient and allow the cat to set the pace. If a cat is very anxious, I find it helpful to just sit in the same vicinity as them for a while so they can get comfortable with my presence and scent.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Charlotte cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Erica is an amazing cat mom to her kitty, Frankie. I’ve only ever seen her treat him with care and love and I know she would do the same to other people’s cats because she’s done it with mine. Even though my cat is aggressive at times, Erica is patient and has learned to navigate my cat’s personal space without upsetting her. Frankie requires medication and Erica is always vigilant in her feeding and meds schedule with him. You should 100% choose her to look after your cat!
