I truly love all cats; timid, playful, shy, kittens and seniors alike. My goal is to make every kitty’s life as stress-free and comfortable as possible. What sets me apart as a sitter is my extensive hands-on experience with animals and my deep understanding of their unique needs. I currently care for my senior cat, Kitty (16) and Molly (9), who has digestive issues, so I’m well-versed in providing attentive care for pets with medical or age-related needs.

I’m also actively involved in TNR (trap-neuter-return) efforts for feral cats and regularly feed and care for neighborhood strays. I’ve even gained the trust of two feral cats to the point where I can flea-comb them!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I've been caring for my own cats for over 16 years now. Cat sitting specifically, I have looked after cats of family friends for over 25 years.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I most enjoy getting to know as many cats as possible. They each are so different with their markings and personalities. I love being able to win over the most shy or 'mean' ones with my unwaivering love and utmost respect.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I currently care for my senior soulcat, Kitty, who is 16, and Molly, my 9-year-old comedic relief derpy butt. I also have a garage cat, Ladybug, who was a feral that I managed to socialize, get spayed and while keeping her in the garage to recover from surgery, she just never left! Ladybug now protects the yard against bugs.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

My advice is to go with your gut. Read their bio, make sure they are on the same page as you regarding respect and availability. You know your cats better than anyone, so choose someone that you know will be best for them.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Communication, communication, communication! I'd much rather ask you a million questions to ensure I have the full picture than to ask simple questions during your time away. But that also doesn't mean that I'm not afraid of giving you updates or asking clarification during the reservation either.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I treat your cats and home like I would my own. I give treats when I'm leaving so I can physically put eyes on my cats so I know they are good. Of course lock all doors and ensure they actually click closed with the extra knob turn to confirm it's locked.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, my family and my husbands family are both local so we rarely go out of town for holidays and if we visit either, it's only for half the day.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I love to handmake my own cat toys that range from twirly ones with approved ribbon or custom catnip filled ones. I will also modify/enhance bought toys such as sewing a new cover for it or adding better attachments to it.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

These cats are my specialty! I win them over by 'ignoring' them, letting them smell my belongings without me hovering and always allow them to come to me first. I get down on their level and ensure all my movements are calculated and intentional so they know what to expect from me.

Jessica was a great sitter. She was very patient with my cats. They hid the whole time but it didn’t stop her from trying to give treats and search for them just to say hi. She was very punctual and followed my insane feeding schedule perfectly. She also cared for my plants by turning lights off and on. (I have a lot of lights). Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
