I usually let the cat(s) approach me at their own pace and give them time to get used to my scent. When your cat and I are hanging out together, you can expect them to get lots of love! If they’re a cuddler, or if they’re more reserved, I cater my sits to their individual needs! Fun fact, I actually have trained a cat to sit, stand, and spin before!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love getting to know each cat individually and their personalities/what they like, what they dislike. Every cat is so unique and different but I love all the personalities, from aloof to cuddly!

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I was cat sitting two kitties around the same age that were the best of friends but had two totally different personalities. Joey was a bit aloof but also very vocal while Lily was very cuddly and playful. Once they got used to me being there, they wouldn’t leave my side the entire sit!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I give timid or anxious cats their space and give them time to warm up to my being there. I never force them to come out of hiding or to be pet if they don’t want to! I let them get a feel for my scent and try to greet them at their level.

once again Laney was awesome with our kitty babies!! We have 5 rescues who are various ages . They are usually very shy/hide for at least 2 days! Our kitties liked her so much the first time that this time they came out right away!! She definitely understands cats and their personalities! I love that Meowtel is cat sitters only. This gives me comfort for our babies. I highly recommend Meowtel to all cat owners!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
