What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting for about 23 years for friends’ cats and excited to expand my platform here. Some cats I have known and others were strangers.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy spending time with a variety of cats as a big animal lover. Spending time with animals is part of my self care of what fuels me as a person.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I love playful to shy cats. Overall I have enjoyed all experiences in different ways. I have learned a lot from each interaction.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have one kitty named Cinderella. Cin is 14 years old and she rescued me when she was 3 months old at an animal shelter. She is a wonderful happy cat.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I would advice them to ask a lot of questions as you want to ensure whoever you select you are comfortable with and trust them.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

My typical process for working with a new car parent is ensuring my door is open for all questions prior to a meet and greet and at it. I promote transparency and ensure all instructions are covered to a T. I want to ensure the cat(s) and their parents are taken care of and happy.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I am very gentle with them and give them space. I focus on establishing trust and respect. If I want to recommend or bring over a new toy I discuss with the parent first. Want to ensure there are no health risks.

Are you usually available during holidays?

My availability during the holidays varies as depends on the holiday. I tend to be around here and there for Thanksgiving and the end of the year holidays as depends if I have family coming to town .

What is your favorite cat toy?

I love the laser point and the mouse toys on the sticks as I have found these toys resonate well with most cats. Bonus they are entertaining for me too.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I ensure to give them space. I’ll talk to them warmly from afar and work to gain their trust. I work on the cats terms.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
