My name is Joyce but my friends call me Jae. I was born and raised around cats all of my life. Now, I have two indoor cats (Gizmo and Archie) both were feral cats that transitioned to domestic cats with a lot of TLC. I also feed a colony of cats and keep shelters in my backyard for them.
My primary job is being a Registered Nurse. I care for cats and humans. I love helping all walks of life.

I have 40+ years of engaging with felines. I love cat sitting because I get to meet new cats and there families. I've been cat sitting for 20 years.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes, I have 2 indoor cats named Gizmo and Archie. I also have a colony of cats that I feed as well. Their names are Mr. Gray, Silky Johnson, Slinky, Mango, BB, and Snarf Snarf.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I let the cat take the lead and proceed accordingly. I will give the cat as much space as he/she needs to feel comfortable and safe.

Joyce was great with my two carts. She was very thorough in our meet and greet and had great questions (clearly has experience and knows what to ask watching other’s cats!) My cats have tendency of throwing up what they eat, and I was hoping they would be good for the week Joyce stopped by. Unfortunately she got stuck cleaning up their throw up several times and always reported about it. She also brought in our packages and generally was great about watching our place. Would definitely trust her to watch my girls again.

My cats are not used to anyone but me, and Joyce even got my two very shy girls to come out to see her She was great I got many pics and movies! She was thankfully available for an extra day, as my flight was canceled. I would definately request her services again.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Plainfield cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
