I’ve cared for playful kittens, independent adults, shy and nervous cats, and seniors who need a little extra patience and attention. It has also taught me how important it is to notice the small changes in a cat’s behavior, eating habits, or routine that can sometimes mean they aren’t feeling quite like themselves... Hello! My name is Danielle, and caring for animals has been a lifelong passion. While I have shared my home with many different pets over the years, cats have always held a special place in my heart. I currently share my home with five cats, most of them seniors, and I’ve also volunteered with a local rescue and fostered more than 200 cats and kittens.
Fostering has given me experience with cats of all ages, personalities, and comfort levels. I’ve cared for playful kittens, independent adults, shy and nervous cats, and seniors who need a little extra patience and attention. It has also taught me how important it is to notice the small changes in a cat’s behavior, eating habits, or routine that can sometimes mean they aren’t feeling quite like themselves.
I also have experience administering medications and caring for cats with special dietary needs. I understand how important consistency can be, especially for senior cats and cats with health concerns, and I’m careful to follow feeding, medication, and care instructions closely.
I know that cats are happiest when they can stay in their own familiar surroundings while their people are away. During my visits, I’ll follow your cat’s normal routine as closely as possible, whether that means meals, medication, playtime, cuddles, litter box care, or simply sitting quietly nearby and letting them decide when they’re ready to interact.
I’m patient, dependable, attentive, and respectful of both your pets and your home. I also know how reassuring it is to see that your cats are happy and doing well, so I’ll send photos and updates after each visit.
Most importantly, I’ll care for your cats the way I would want someone to care for my own. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your feline family!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I currently share my home with five kitties - Cole (16), Rebel (11), Harley Quinn (10), Jasper (9), and Nyx (7).
What is your favorite cat toy?
I don't have favorite cat toy but listen to what kitty has picked as their "precious" from a variety of options (mouse, laser, wand, kicker, ball, etc.). I have had foster kitties that had no idea what playtime was and were afraid of any toy offered. With patience, a favorite toy or activity is found. One foster kitty loved being brushed and that became a regular bounding routine. Once the favorite toy or activity has been selected by the kitty, that becomes the go to option for playtime / bonding.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
With timid or anxious cats, patience is the key! I start by giving them time it adjust, avoid any sudden movements, and let them come to me on their own terms. I will sit nearby and speak calmly to them while offering them a treat or a favorite toy as a way to build trust with them. I never force them to interact with me. Each cat is unique but with time and trust, they usually start to feel more comfortable and show their true personalities!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
