What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I've been cat sitting regularly for 10 years. I often watch my parents' and friends' cats. Watch times vary from a few hours a day to 2 weeks.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I don't have any cats of my own at the moment, but I always claimed my parent's cats as my own. We lost Zorro in March, though we expected his time with us was coming to an end. He was a stray cat who hung around our farm long enough to realize that life inside a warm and cozy home wasn't so bad. He was such a little love who was very affectionate and so sweet. We miss him very much. Sammy, on the other hand, is another story. He's another stray that we coaxed inside and has been with us fo the last 3 years. We think he's "been through some stuff" while being on the streets, so it has been a long road to building his trust. Some days he welcomes pets and affection, and other days he's very apprehensive. We love him all the same.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I typically like to do a meet and greet with both parent and cat. This helps me to establish a connection and start building trust. I ask a lot of questions to make sure I understand routines, personality, and preferences. I want to make sure all three of us feel comfortable before moving forward with a 1 on 1 visit.

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
