I indeed do have a kitty, a very sweet and silly goofball of a cat named Onyx. He has never had a thought in his life, and I love him for that
Are you usually available during holidays?
I absolutely am available during the holidays! I don’t have any travel planned for the foreseeable future, and I’m ready to work.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
If I’m meeting a timid or anxious cat, I let them set the pace of introduction. I softly talk to them, and when they seem interested I gently let them smell my hand just so they can get accustomed to me. After that, I feed them so they put me in the “nice human who feeds me category” in there lil brains. After that, we’re usually good to go!

Daniel took the best care of my cat Pebbles while I was away for 8 days. He met me for a meet and greet before the trip, communicated well, and even sent me update messages in the app while I was away. 10/10 recommend Daniel to care for your cat. I will try and book him again myself in the future 😸. Pebbles will miss you!

Dan is awesome with cats! We've known each other since 2017, and I've seen Dan always give the utmost care and attention to their cat Onyx. Dan has also cat sat for a number of our friends in the NYC area, and those friends have all had only great things to say. Dan is always respectful in other people's homes, and our friend's cats have always found them to be very approachable. 10/10 would recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Brooklyn cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
