How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I ensure that there is nothing that can harm them such as string, twist ties, hair ties, etc. Check for fire hazards like a hair dryer or a stove. Ensure windows and doors are locked. If there are multiple cats, ensure that there are no wounds/scratches.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

For cats that are timid and anxious I try my best to make sure I’m creating a safe space. I attempt to allow them to approach me and smell me. Also, I try to engage in play to build some familiarity.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
