What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

My friends and family have always known me to be the biggest cat lover so I’ve had a number of wonderful sitting jobs over the years. Most recently I’ve been sitting regularly for a cat mama of 4 whenever she’s away- the youngest is just a few months old and the oldest kitty is 13 in that family.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love the opportunity to spend time with so many different cats! They each have a unique personality and interests and I love meeting them and getting to know their fun quirks.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Giving space and autonomy are key! Cats are curious but they may also be extremely cautious. I try to bring myself to their level (sitting on the floor or a chair) and let them come to me to check things out. If they have a favorite toy or treat I may use that as well to help them feel comfortable and warm up to me.

Carly did a nice job caring for Petey! it was a weekend trip so only needed a pet sitter for 3 days but she was reliable, scooped litter every day and kept food bowl filled, and gave him treats😄 I would definitely use Carly again!

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
