What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been cat-sitting for over two years, providing care for a wide range of feline personalities and needs. My experience includes looking after both young, energetic cats and older, more reserved ones. During this time, I’ve developed a strong understanding of different cat behaviors and health requirements. Whether it’s administering medications, managing dietary needs, or simply ensuring a comfortable and stimulating environment, I’ve consistently received positive feedback from cat owners. I have also cared for cats that have had recent surgeries. What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love to meet new cats and get the opportunity to bond with other animals. I love seeing their individual quirks and behaviors, from playful antics to serene moments of relaxation. I also take pleasure in providing a comforting, familiar routine for them while their owners are away, ensuring they feel secure and loved. The joy of making both cats and their owners happy makes cat sitting a truly fulfilling experience.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My favorite cats I have sat for have been Binx and Mina! I cat-sat for a couple of my friends in NYC and they were such a pleasure to be around. Binx, the adventurous spirit, loved exploring and playing with interactive toys, while Mina, the calm and affectionate one, preferred cozy spots for naps and gentle petting.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a 4-year-old calico named Asuka! She is the third cat I have had but my only cat right now! She is so silly and my baby darling girl. She is a little shy but, loves head and chin scratches. Her favorite snacks include fish/shrimp snacks and ice cubes!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I’m committed to maintaining their routine and providing regular updates, including photos, to keep you connected while you’re away. It’s important to communicate any specific instructions or concerns upfront so I can address them effectively. Additionally, I’m always prepared with an emergency plan, including your vet’s contact information, to ensure your cat’s well-being. Choosing me means your cat will receive reliable, loving care, and you’ll have peace of mind during your absence.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am usually available around the holidays. I wouldn't mind being available the morning/day of a holiday as long as there is plenty of communication in advance. I will not be available on the nights of holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas night.

What is your favorite cat toy?

She has many toys but, she is particularly attached to a very ratty looking and old orange mouse toy. It was one of the first toys she had ever gotten. She also loves tennis balls

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I have a very skittish and timid cat. I would handle any cat that is anxious like how I do her; I let her do her own thing until she is ready for interaction. I never want to push an animal past their own boundaries.
