No kids or spouse means a super flexible schedule and lots of attention for your cats. Whether they want playtime, cuddles, or just a calm human nearby, I’ve got them covered!
I have trapped, neutered and returned over 22 stray cats in my neighborhood (Old Town Spring) and I feed 4-5 of them daily outside of my home and found fur-ever homes for the kittens that were not feral yet.
I also fostered and nursed a cat back to health for a year while their owner was in mental health treatment. I have had many cats of my own over the years and I love that cat sitting allows me to enjoy more kitties even though I don’t own my own cat right now.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve owned cats my entire life and while I don’t have any at the moment besides some strays I feed daily, I am the go-to person amongst my friends and family for caring for their cats’ daily physical and emotional needs. I have been cat sitting occasionally based on their work and vacation trips for over a decade.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am available almost 24/7 because I work remotely and I don’t have a lot of family to travel to see during holidays. I’m unmarried, no kids, only child and my mom lives nearby and she is my main family member. I would love to offer you the peace of mind to enjoy your holidays while I get to enjoy quality time spoiling your fur baby with attention.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Just like any timid animal, I know that trust is built over time with gentleness, consistency and consent. Cats will come to you when they see you’re a safe person who isn’t going to violate their personal space or force unwanted touch. Humans have a lot to learn from cats in that regard. I like to let kitties see me from a distance, I offer treats or toys to stimulate interest and I get down on their level and let them sniff me and explore me at their own pace while offering sweet verbal praise and returning any touch they initiate.

When our cats figured out how to break into their auto feeder and eat their way through the 6 meals inside them, Katy was very flexible with monitoring them for digestive issues and adjusted her visiting time to feed them their meal manually. Despite her own car having issues Katy pulled through with rentals and kept rolling with the punches. We will definitely trust Katy to keep an eye on our troublemakers again!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Spring cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
