What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been caring for animals in homes to include cats on many properties within my property management and caretaking background. It began over 25 years ago. My funniest cats were "Shrek" & "Fiona" who loved to snuggle in my lap every night for 30 minutes each of long healing massages. They both would playfully paw at my ankles while walking if I stopped a lil early. Who knew that cats could tell time lol! I realized long ago how to build trust with shy or anxious cats with being gentle and making eye to eye connections and every cat has been so playfully unique and kept me being creative, healing and also intuively connecting to their beautiful souls.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I truly love cats, and when I was only age 4, my parents introduced me to my first 2 Siamese cats. The short hair Siamese meowed a lot and made me laugh and the long hair Himalayan was so fluffy, she would let me curl up with her and I knew as a child how loving and fun cats were at age 4! I truly love learning about their unique personalities, giving hours of healing time and our favorite time is playful fun. I truly enjoy creating games or watching cats watching me. My newest fun has been playing our gentle music or a little sound healing with some cats who liked it. I love the cats that come to me and let me know I understand them and curl up for our slumber together at night.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I think one of my favorites is a lil cat named Luna that was so shy at first. In a very short time she absolutrly loved me! She loved our yoga mat. Funny thing but she was not shy after she watched me acting like a cat on it. She loved to roll on my yoga mat and she loved scratchies and cat nip toy fun games for hours. Who knew me acting like a cat on a yoga mat would instantly make cats love me?! Lol.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Bandit was our most recent last kitty. We have supported rescues past too. This cat loves hiding any of their toys in the funniest spots like dropping kitty toys into a shoe.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I share our suggestions are to truly know the property and cat care experience of a cat sitter. I have references from property mgt and pet care on very long term levels past before apps existed. I always ensure all home safety, care & extra home needs like any special asks or updates are known. I always ensure your cat is very relaxed and playfully happy. I will be up if they meow at 2am that first night you are away, missing you and I massage and talk to them gently to make your cat feel comforted. Your home and cat's safety, consistency of all care needs and litter cleaning and home cleanliness is always a 5 Star support from me. I pay attention to details & ensure all locks and maintenance of all is in order. Ensuring no one forgets to bring in your delivery packages also matters.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I love to connect to learn more about your pawsitively clawsome cats! I will ask about the cat's origin or if a rescue, what details their favorite things they love to do with you, whether play games or lap massages or favorite pillow sleep time routines and #1 treats and I then go over all meal, nutritional or med needs, schedules, or special needs. If a cat goes outside in your yard or even on leash , I will support special asks. Any unique building or parking rules, garbage day, expected maintenance visits or deliveries, special home care asks and anything your cats especially love is our next focus. Finally let's make sure we ensure all lockboxes, digital building access codes or other locks, keys are all working well before you leave town. I always do a good run through and ensure all is well!

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I ensure the safety of your home with all lighting, mail or deliveries brought in daily where you wish all placed. I ensure 2x all doors are always locked. I am in your home giving extensive kitty quality time, love & play consistently and keeping your cats happy & your home very clean.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am usually always available during holidays but please ask me about cat in-home sitting requests as early in advance as possible as I do get booked up fast!

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite cat toy is actually anything with lots of colorful feathers whether on wands or toys. I also am a photographer who loves to create the most amazing keepsake photos with your beloved kitties with feathers! I love the tiny hands for fingers & lil balls on rubber strings and I love all catnip toys too.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I am especially good with timid and anxious cats as I have helped many 501c3 rescues for many years. I will bring my yoga mat, be on the floor very still or gentle moves and connect eye to eye. I am calm and quiet till the cat slowly begins to come to me first. I have warmed up shy kitties with gentle head massages and scratchies. The most anxious cat is then coming to me the next time and soon is rolling on her back awaiting full reiki healing slow massages & belly rubs. Ribbon play games are a good start too.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
