💊 Medication Experience
I’m highly experienced administering a wide variety of medications and medical support, including:
• Oral medications
• Pill pockets & hidden food meds
• Powders mixed into food
• Oral syringes
• Injection syringes
• Subcutaneous fluids
• Inhalers
• Ear drops & ear topicals
• Paw gels
🩺 Medication Care Policies
To make medication visits as smooth and low-stress as possible for everyone involved, I do have a few requirements for cats needing hands-on medical care:
• 1-hour bookings minimum for non-food-based medication administration
• Nails should be trimmed or claw caps used
• Access to deep hiding spots should be limited if possible
• A medication test run during the meet & greet for first-time clients
• Please provide high-value treats, towels for “kitty burritos,” and any helpful handling tips
My goal is always compassionate, efficient, low-stress care.
Senior Cat Care: I understand the importance of gentle and patient care for older cats.
Kitten Care: I'm experienced in providing playful and nurturing care for young kittens.
Shy Cats: I understand that cats have boundaries. I have worked with many cats I have never seen, and allow cats to interact with me at their own comfort..

Long-Haired Cats: For long-haired cats using standard litter boxes, I require visits at least every other day to help prevent painful or unsanitary litter matting issues.

🌙 House Sitting & Morning Visit Policy

My business is structured around afternoon and evening cat drop-ins throughout Capitol Hill, and I intentionally keep my mornings reserved for personal time, rest, and balance.

Because of this, I do not offer separate breakfast-only or morning drop-in visits.
The only circumstance in which I provide morning care is if I have already stayed overnight in the home the evening before. In those cases, breakfast and morning routines are naturally included as part of the overnight stay.

I know this may not work for every household, and I truly appreciate your understanding. Creating sustainable boundaries allows me to continue providing attentive, reliable, long-term care for my clients and their cats.

Learn More About Zephyr

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been obsessed with cats for as long as I can remember. I became a cat parent at 14 and have spent years caring for cats professionally and personally. This is my full-time work, and I’ve completed thousands of cat drop-in visits while caring for hundreds of unique cats across Capitol Hill.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I currently live in and manage a lively community home with 10 humans and 3 cats, so I’m very comfortable navigating different personalities, routines, and energy levels. I work exclusively with cats because I truly am a dedicated cat person. Understanding feline behavior, boundaries, body language, and trust-building is one of my favorite parts of this work. I especially value creating long-term relationships with both cats and their humans. Many neighborhood kitties know me by name (or at least by treat bag sounds).

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have three kitties in my home, Tarot, Miso, and Sabrina. They are the sweetest fluffballs and I feel so lucky to come home to them.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Take the time to make sure your needs and your sitter’s services are a good match for each other. It’s important to trust the job will be done the way you prefer.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I require one meet & greet prior to taking care of your cat for the first time, which I offer free of charge. I prefer to do these in-person so that in addition to understanding your specific needs, I can be shown where things are located, do a key exchange (if applicable), and potentially meet your cat(s). Please do not force an introduction if your cat is shy or unwilling. I have an intake questionnaire to get to know how I can best take care of your cats! I prefer weekday meet & greets, as weekends are especially busy.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I always am careful when coming into a home for “escape artists”. I pay attention to all windows, and make sure to lock and check doors when leaving. Please let me know if I should expect anyone else on the premises- housekeepers, gardeners, contractors, nannies, additional care-takers, or otherwise.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I work every federal holiday. I generally work 7-days a week, and try to make myself as available as possible, especially for my regular clients. If I do plan to take time off, I will put it in the top of my bio, well in advance.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My top 3 toys would be laser pointers, teaser wand toys, and this automatic rolling toy I have that cats go wild for!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I am a firm believer of respecting a cat’s boundaries. If a cat is shy, I may let them sniff my glasses so they can become familiar with my scent. Giving high-reward treats or wet food is a quick way to become a cats best friend. Cats forget to be scared when they are in “hunt mode”, so I regularly bring a laser pointer to meet a new cat. I sometimes use pheromones as well. I always let a cat come out and warm up to me in their own time.

Zephyr is good with my kitties, very understanding of kitty quirks and has a knack for bringing them out of their shell. Also very communicative and helpful -- lots of fun photos and helpful ones, like photos of the litter and water levels. Additionally, we had a couple logistical things go wrong during our trip (all either totally random or our fault) and Zephyr very kindly jumped in to troubleshoot wifi and otherwise save the day. Cannot recommend enough!

Zephyr was an absolutely amazing cat sitter! From our very first meeting we were reassured — we have an anxious and often growly cat and he felt so calm in Zephyr’s presence that he even came out of hiding and asked for a pet! Zephyr is communicative, patient, and super prepared! We cannot recommend Zephyr enough!!

Zephyr is great with our kitties, super communicative, and a delight to work with! Something weird always seems to happen when we go out of town (this time it was our call box going out) and Zephyr is really good about rolling with the punches and figuring it out.

Zephyr was so caring and took wonderful care of our babies while we were away. He engaged them in play and gave them their meds, and we were so grateful to have had him here.

I can’t say enough good things about Zephyr. I was very worried about leaving my kitten Medli, but after I got my first update from them I knew Medli was going to be well taken care of. Medli loved Zephyr and started greeting them every day, even crawling up on their lap to give them kisses. My Furbo captured Zephyr talking, singing, and loving on Medli so sweetly. Zephyr also provided detailed updates and photos of her bowls, litter box, and daily activities. They retrieved an unexpected package for me and dealt with me being a worried cat parent. The family I was visiting even gushed with me about how good they were with Medli. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Zephyr again and I would recommend them to anyone in need of a sweet cat sitter.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Seattle cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
