Rye is amazing! Our senior cat can be a handful between medications, and chronic illnes. And to complicate matters, she can be territorial while we are away making it hard to manage her health needs. Rye handled her antics like no other cat sitter has, making sure she took her medication and kept a close eye on her health condition all while reliably keeping us up to date. Typically when we go on trips for longer than a week, we come back to the cat being a nervous wreck and it takes us days to get her back settled in to her routine. But this time we came back and it was like we never left. I can’t recommend Rye enough!

This was our first Meowtel experience and Rye was great to work with! They kept us informed with detailed updates and photos and brainstormed ways to help get our cat to eat more when he went on a tiny hunger strike. Rye even placates to my silly whims, like making sure Emmie's cat bed is set up right in front of the window so she can bird watch comfortably. Emmie can be a little mischievous, and Rye has even cleaned up small messes like when my cat broke into a bag of litter or tipped over her water feature. It gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing Rye is there keeping an eye on things and giving my cat some love while I’m gone. I’d highly recommend hiring Rye to look after your kitty the next time you're out of town!

Rye was fantastic! They took great care of my senior cat, Maeby including getting her her daily meds. She usually takes a while to warm up to new people but she was comfortable with Rye and even permitted some couch snuggles on day 2. They sent me frequent updates with photos, followed my overly detailed instructions for food/water/pills, monitored the litter robot carefully, and left my place spotless. Rye is clearly a cat lover and it shows. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a patient, caring sitter for their cat(s)!

From my first interaction with this app to asking clarifying questions before booking, to actually booking - it was seamless. Rye was an excellent sitter for my cat Tater. His attention to detail and doing all the things was spot on. I was very nervous to leave her as she is older, needs daily meds and doesn’t like people other than me :-/. She was spicy with Rye the second day but they handled it with ease and all went well. I usually get the silent treatment and overall not happy with you mamma energy but alas Tater was all good when I returned - a clear testament to Rye’s great energy and meeting her essential needs while I was away. :) I highly recommend Rye!

We've worked with Rye three times now, and each experience has been fantastic! Rye is always responsive and friendly and genuinely cares about cats. One of my cats can get a bit shy around new people, but he quickly warmed up to Rye and now look forward to seeing his new friend. One thing that really stood out was during scheduled fire alarm test in my building - Rye went extra mile and left a thoughtful note on the door asking anyone entering to be cautious since there're two cats in the apartment. That level of care and attention means a lot to me as a pet owner. Rye is fantastic! We have a large number of cats and they did a great job making sure everyone was cared for. They were great with handling all the basics (food, water, litter), and even helped with other household things like mail and bring in the garbage cans on garbage day. It is very difficult to give pills to our cat. Rye was adaptable when there were pill issues and came early the next day to make sure our cat got her medication.

Rye took care of my two little fur balls when my family was 4500 miles and 8 time zones away. They kept in constant communication with me during the two weeks we were away. They sent pictures of my fluffy ones, and made sure I knew when things happened that were out of the ordinary (like my young cat who “decorated” the house with yarn that he extracted from the knitting box! 😹) Rye was flexible with our plan and gave ideas for different things that came up (like the older cat not eating much). Rye is wonderful. I would highly recommend.

Rye is a favorite person for our cats (and the humans too). We feel confident the kitties will do well with Rye taking care of them.
