What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been cat sitting for over 10 years, caring for cats from playful kittens to senior companions up to age 13. I’m experienced with administering medications, using a variety of litter box types, and supporting a wide range of diets—including dry, wet, raw, mixed, and homemade meals.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love getting to know each cat’s unique personality through play and quality time. I especially enjoy caring for cuddly cats who appreciate extra affection and attention.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

One of my favorite cat sitting experiences was a month-long stay with two affectionate cats who absolutely loved cuddles. They’d curl up on my chest for 30 minutes at a time, happily purring, nudging, and giving little licks while I pet them. We built such a sweet bond—I was genuinely sad when our time together ended!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have one kitten named Reuben! He’s a sweet but mischievous little guy who especially loves teasing our dog with his playfulness!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Start your search early, and choose a sitter both you and your cat feel comfortable with. It makes all the difference!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I’ll start by asking a few questions and giving you space to ask anything as well. Then, we’ll schedule a meet & greet to make sure it’s a good fit. If you’d like to move forward after that, we’ll confirm the booking and stay in touch for any final details. I also keep detailed notes for each family, so I’m fully prepared to care for your kitty again in the future!

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I always follow the pet parent’s routine closely, keep everything clean and tidy, and double-check that the door is securely locked. I’m also mindful of anything unusual or potentially unsafe to ensure your kitty stays safe and comfortable.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes I am. I work less during the holidays with my main job so I have extra hours for the kitties as well.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I love using string toys with something fun dangling at the end. Many cats go wild for them! My own cat’s favorite is one with a little jellyfish; he never gets tired of the chase.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I always let cats approach me at their own pace, using calm body language, open palms, and a soft, gentle voice. I get down to their level, give them plenty of space when needed, and avoid reaching from above to ensure they feel safe and respected.
