Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I live with 10 wonderful cats, each with their own unique personality. I have seniors, kittens, and special needs cats including one with cerebellar hypoplasia and asthma. Their names are Chinbi, Mimi, Haru, Lulu, Emmie, Buffy, Nori, Casey, Ember, and Zoey. They’re not just pets, they’re my babies. My experience caring for such a diverse group has given me a deep understanding of feline behavior, medical care, and how to make each cat feel safe, seen, and loved.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I start by learning everything I can about your cat and their routine. I want to know what makes them happy, what comforts them, what to watch for, and how you like things done. During the first visit, I give your cat space, speak softly, and let them approach on their terms. I always follow your care instructions closely and check in with thoughtful updates so you can feel confident while you’re away. My goal is to make the process easy and stress-free for both you and your cat.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I take a very patient and respectful approach, always prioritizing the cat’s boundaries and comfort. I avoid sudden movements or loud sounds, get low to the ground, and speak softly to create a calm environment. I let them sniff my hand and decide if or when they want to engage. If a cat prefers space, I honor that and quietly stay nearby so they know they’re not alone. I’ve cared for many anxious or shy cats, and I understand that trust takes time. I’m here to support them in whatever way makes them feel most safe. I also can’t resist bringing toys to all of my clients. I love to treat them as my own :)

We’re so grateful for Sarah taking care of our 7 cats while we were away for almost 3 weeks. Before we left, she did a house visit to meet the cats and go over their routines, which instantly put us at ease. While we were gone, she sent daily updates with pictures and videos, and let us know if anything seemed off. Our cats had positive interactions with her and clearly felt comfortable in her care. When one of them had an accident on the couch, she cleaned it up, informed us, and even brought a waterproof cover to help prevent future issues. She also brought toys to keep them entertained, which they loved! Sarah didn’t just feel like a sitter—she felt like a fellow cat mom. Her thoughtful care gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We hope she never moves so we can continue trusting her with our cats! 5 stars all the way!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

La Habra cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $36.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

I can’t recommend Sarah highly enough! She cared for my cats with such compassion and skill, especially one who is extremely shy and anxious around new people. Administering gabapentin is usually a huge challenge, but Sarah handled it with complete ease and calm. She clearly understands feline behavior and created a peaceful, trusting environment that made all the difference. I felt completely at ease knowing my cats were in such capable and loving hands. Sarah is a true cat whisperer, and anyone would be lucky to have her care for their kitties.
