I’ve always felt that cats are family, and I love getting to know all the funny little personalities and quirks that make each one unique. My background as an RVT has given me years of experience caring for cats, including giving medications and paying attention to the little things that can tell you when something just isn’t quite right.
My own cats are a huge part of my life. Omen, my big black cat, walked into my life on Halloween 15 years ago. He is my familiar, my soulmate, and truly my heart. We’ve been through a lot together, and he has taught me so much about patience, compassion, and just how special the bond with a cat can be. He is absolutely the king of our house... Hi, I’m April! I’m a former Registered Veterinary Technician and, more importantly, a lifelong cat person.

Then there’s Pyewacket, my goofy little clown. I rescued him from a UPS parking lot, and he quickly became family. He loves brushes, toys, and attention—and has plenty of personality of his own!
When I care for your cat, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m happy to handle their normal routine, including feeding, fresh water, litter boxes, playtime, brushing, pets, cuddles, and plenty of quality time. I’m also happy to follow medication instructions when needed.
I’m gentle, dependable, punctual, clean, and respectful of your home. And I know how hard it can be to leave your babies behind. I’ll keep you updated with photos and videos and communicate with you throughout your time away.
At this point in my life, I’d much rather spend my days doing something I truly love—and that means being around cats. We get such a short time with our furry family members. I believe every moment counts, and I’d love to give your kitty some extra love while you’re away.

Yes, I have cats myself. Omen is my large black cat and my biggest baby. Pyewacket is my lovable Siamese clown.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I love buying cat toys for my babies! Some of my favorites are feather toys, spring toys and laser lights.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have a lot of experience with this, whether its been introducing new kitties to our home or handling shy cats in a vet environment. The best way to approach them is to quietly get on their level, being gentle and respecting their boundaries.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
