Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes! I have a 2 year old kitty named Boris. He is an orange cat and is super silly and lovable. He is very shy around strangers, so I understand how having new people around your cats can be for them.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Most holidays I am in town including thanksgiving, long weekends, and other holidays. I do tend to travel home for winter holidays, but only for a few days.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Feather wand because it makes it a game for myself as well and I feel I can really bond with cats through this. Also my kitty loves it!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I have experience with this since my own cat is this way. I always make sure to meet nervous cats where they are and never force an interaction. I let them sniff my hand first if they approach me to let them tell me if they'd like to interact or be left alone. I try to be patient with them and let them come to me and try to show them I’m a friend through treats, play, or pets if they allow me to.

Joy is friendly and took great care of my cat. My cat needs a lot of personal space and Joy was very respectful of this, which has not always been the case with other sitters. Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
