Hi! I’m Guilherme, and I genuinely love spending time with cats. I’m the kind of sitter who respects their space but also knows when it’s time to play, cuddle, or just sit quietly with them.

I’ll make sure your cat sticks to their routine, stays comfortable, and feels safe while you’re away. From feeding and litter cleaning to playtime and chill moments, I adapt to each cat’s personality.

I also know how important updates are, so I’ll send you photos and little check-ins so you can relax knowing your cat is in good hands.

Whether your cat is super social or a bit shy, I’ll meet them exactly where they are.

Learn More About Guilherme

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

Caring for cats has always been part of my life. I have my own cat, Miguel, who moved with me from Brazil, so I’m very familiar with their routines, moods, and needs. I’ve also helped friends with their cats over time, which gave me experience with different personalities. I’m now bringing that same care and attention into a more professional setting.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Being around cats genuinely makes me happy. I’m the kind of person who always stops to interact with a cat I see on the street or in a window. I love their personalities and the calm energy they bring. Seeing a cat feel comfortable and well cared for is something that really matters to me and makes the experience rewarding.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes! I have a cat named Miguel, he’s an orange cat and honestly my biggest love. He even moved with me from Brazil to San Francisco, so he’s been my companion through a big life change.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Choose someone who pays attention to details and respects your cat’s routine. Small things like timing, environment, and behavior make a big difference. It also helps to find someone who communicates clearly, so you feel informed and relaxed while you’re away.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I start by understanding your cat’s habits, preferences, and any specific instructions. During visits, I follow that routine carefully and adjust based on how your cat responds. I keep things consistent and always send updates so you know how everything is going.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I make sure everything is secure before and after each visit, including doors, windows, and the overall environment. I stay organized, follow instructions closely, and keep an eye on anything that might affect your cat’s well-being or the home.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, I try to stay available during holidays since I know it’s a time when people need reliable care the most.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Wand toys are my favorite. They’re great for engaging cats in a way that feels natural and keeps them active without overwhelming them.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I’m very patient with shy or anxious cats. I never force interaction and always let them approach me when they feel safe. I keep a calm energy, move slowly, and respect their space. Sometimes that means just sitting quietly in the same room so they can get used to me. Over time, most cats start to feel more comfortable, and I adjust based on their behavior. I understand that trust takes time, and I’m happy to go at their pace.

This was the first time I had to use any sort of cat-sitting service instead of having friends watch my girl for me, so I was pretty nervous. After meeting him I felt much better-he’s very nice and clearly loves animals. My cat was a bit cranky with him during their first meeting, but during the visits she seemed to warm up to him and he made sure to sit and play with her (which can sometimes be difficult). I’ll definitely reach out to him again the next time I need help watching her.

Our long time Meowtel cat sitter recently moved out of CA, so I was really concerned if I could find someone who was reliable and responsible. Guilherme was extremely professional, detailed oriented, considerate, caring, and most importantly, reliable and responsible. He is also very friendly yet polite, easy to reach and super prompt in all communications. Highly recommended, and we will contact him again for sure when I’ll be out of town.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

San Francisco cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $39.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
