I have 5 cats of my own. Ages between 5yrs-2yrs old. I have had my cats since they were 4 weeks old. All my cats are rescue cats.
I am a very patient individual. With 5 cats I have learned that every cat is unique, they have different personality.
For example Tokyo my eldest cat, he is calm but can be stern, if he wants you too pet him he will come up to you... Hi, I’m Joselin.

Zeus my 2nd eldest he is a big shy boy, he is so skittish; true definition of a scardedy cat. These are just some examples of the different personalities I am accustomed to.
I also have a turtle and 4 budgies birds 2 since they were hatchlings and 2 adults; my turtle was rescued as well.

I have 5 cats, 4 boys and one girl. All of my cats have been rescued. There names are Tokyo, Zeus, Elijah, Loïc,and my only girl Rin.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Have lots of communication specially if the cat parent is new to having a cat sitter. I would first schedule a meeting to check out the pet/s and their environment.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I would announce my presence in a calmly manner, let them sniff me and not make any fast movements. If okay with parents I will give a small treat to help them not be so timid or anxious around me.

Joselin was a great sitter for our cat (Sharky) - punctual, mindful, proactive, communicative, and very caring! From the very first meet-and-greet, she and Sharky got along swimmingly; as a cat owner herself, Joselin clearly understood what they need and want, especially when the owners are out of town for a long stretch. Joselin fed Sharky, played with him, gave him pets, kept his water topped off, monitored his litter box usage (including one day when he himself accidentally closed off access to the room that contained his litter box), and would send clear reports (with pictures) during and after each individual visit. She was incredibly thorough during the initial meet-and-greet, asking very detailed discovery questions and making sure that we had properly prepped for our absence; her services even included extra options as needed, such as Litter Robot deep cleaning. All in all, would highly recommend Joselin to watch your pets; we'll definitely be using her services again next time the need arises!

Over the years we have had an array of pets, and we have found Joselin to be head and shoulders above all our previous pet sitters! She is almost magical with cats; our extremely shy and skittish rescue cats warmed up to her almost immediately. In addition to her skills with cats, Joselin is conscientious and good at communicating. She sent us pictures and videos from each visit. Having her care for our cats took all the worry away while we were gone. She is now our Number 1 choice when we need a cat-sitter!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
