Hi. I'm Kelly, a kitty lover and mom of three who are 8 - 12 years old. Over the years of volunteer work, I was a foster failure and adopted many, all who remained with me through end of life. I have previously volunteered for West Columbia Gorge Humane Society, Furry Friends, Humane Society of SW Washington, and started a non-profit Cuddly Catz that helped get the LCAP prison project off the ground and running. My volunteer experience included being a foster mom, the hospice foster home, chairperson of the medical committee for WCGHS, board member for Furry Friends, and coordinator for TNR appointments as well as clinic nights for the shelter animals and vets coming in to do their routine care. My areas of experience include administering medications via pill, liquid or injection, vaccines, and sub-Q fluids if necessary. I have done surgical care including spay/neuter, full mouth extractions, and last year, my boy had an eye removal done due to a slow growing cancerous tumor. Thankfully, he is now one eyed, but cancer free. I love working with kitties, whether outgoing, shy, skittish, or introverted. I strongly believe in learning who the cat is and treating them accordingly. This can include play time with their favorite toy, to ear rubs and belly rubs, holding or soft talking and respecting their space if scared. Need a few extras while I am there? Watering plants, bring in a package, feed the fish, no problem, we can discuss during the meet and greet to best utilize my time while caring for your feline friend. I have recently relocated from the west coast to Tamarac FL with my employer. I work full time during the week in the financial services industry and the remainder of my time I spend with animals. I have a flexible work schedule so I can be available to care for animals’ early morning or evening. Mid-day can be reviewed on a one-off basis..
