Cat Sitting in Orlando, FL

Your Cat Can Tell You What My Profile Can’t.

Your cat is the one I’ll be spending time with while you’re away, so their comfort matters to me from the very beginning. That’s why we’ll have an unrushed Meet & Greet before your first booking—at no charge.

It gives your cat time to check me out, approach when they’re ready, or simply observe from a comfortable distance. I follow their lead.

And while your cat is getting to know me, you are too. You’ll see how I interact with them while we naturally talk about their personality, routine, favorite things and all those little details that make them them.

By the time you leave, my goal is simple: your cat already knows me, and you already feel comfortable with me.

I’ve been caring for cats since I was 7 years

By the time you leave, my goal is simple: your cat already knows me, and you already feel comfortable with me.

I’ve been caring for cats since I was 7 years
old, and my love and understanding of them has only grown over the years. My background includes experience in veterinary clinics, pet grooming and professional pet photography, along with years of hands-on cat sitting.

I understand that every cat is different. Some want lots of affection and companionship; others prefer that I earn their trust from a comfortable distance. I follow your cat’s routine and pay attention to the little details that help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away.

I have hands-on experience caring for kittens through seniors, including diabetic and asthmatic cats and cats requiring medications, insulin injections and inhalers. I’m also serious about the basics: clean litter boxes, fresh water, clean food bowls and a tidy environment. Every detail counts.

Having hired pet sitters myself, I know how difficult it can be to leave your cats and home in someone else’s care. My goal isn’t simply to complete a visit—it’s to give you the peace of mind to enjoy your time away knowing someone is truly paying attention.

I’ll keep you connected with thoughtful updates and plenty of photos and/or videos. As a professional photographer, capturing great pictures of your cats is one of my favorite parts of the job!

Your cat isn’t just another reservation on my calendar. While they’re in my care, they matter to me.

Learn More About Jennifer

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have over 45 years of experience caring for cats, along with professional experience in veterinary clinics, pet grooming and pet photography. I’ve cared for cats of all ages, personalities and needs, including kittens, seniors, diabetic and asthmatic cats. I understand that every cat is an individual, and I adjust my care to their personality, routine and needs.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I enjoy most is getting to know each cat as an individual. Every cat has a unique personality, routine and way of communicating. I love figuring out what makes them comfortable and earning their trust—especially the shy ones! There’s nothing better than when a cat who kept their distance at first finally decides to sit beside me or curl up in my lap. Knowing their pet parent can relax because their cat feels safe, comfortable and cared for makes it even more rewarding.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

One of my favorite reservations was with a very shy kitty named Skittles over the Fourth of July. Knowing how frightening fireworks can be for cats, I made sure I was with her when the neighborhood became especially loud. Instead of simply completing my visit, I stayed close, kept things calm and let Skittles decide what she needed from me. The best moment came when this frightened little girl began to relax, trust me and even purr. ❤️ Earning the trust of a shy or anxious cat is incredibly rewarding. Skittles reminded me exactly why I love what I do—sometimes the smallest moments matter the most. 🐾

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Absolutely! I share my home with five very different personalities. ❤️ Simba is my 16-year-old senior who has diabetes and asthma, so insulin and an inhaler are part of our daily routine. Bella and Billy are my bonded brother-and-sister pair who turn 9 this September and keep me busy maintaining their beautiful long coats. 🐈‍⬛ Then there are the youngsters! Nico is my curious, talkative, solid-white “kitchen supervisor” who believes everything I cook should involve him—especially if seafood is involved. 😹 Robbie is my sweet gray baby who is all about affection, kisses and being close to Mom. From a special-needs senior to long-haired siblings to two mischievous youngsters, there is never a dull moment in my house—and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I start with a thorough Meet & Greet so I can get to know you and your cat. We’ll go over routines, feeding, medications, personality, favorite activities, veterinary and emergency information, and the little details that make your cat unique. I want you to leave knowing I understand exactly how you want your cat cared for.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I’m extremely detail-oriented when it comes to safety. I carefully check doors, windows and locks, keep toilet lids down, and look for anything that could potentially harm a curious cat. I also keep an eye on the home itself for anything unusual. These habits are second nature to me—I want you to enjoy your time away knowing both your cat and your home are SAFE and SECURE.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I’m normally available during all major holidays. I know how important it is to be able to travel and celebrate without worrying about the family member you’re leaving behind. I’m happy to spend part of my holiday making sure your cat is safe, comfortable, loved—and not celebrating alone! ❤️

What is your favorite cat toy?

Believe it or not, one of my favorites is a simple lightweight plastic tube! Cats love batting it across the floor, chasing it and sometimes even playing fetch with it. Of course, every cat has their own favorite—and discovering what gets each one excited is part of the fun!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Patience is everything. I let timid or anxious cats set the pace and never force interaction. I’ll sit quietly, speak softly, and give them the space they need to feel safe. I pay attention to their body language and celebrate the smallest signs of trust. Whether it takes five minutes or several visits, earning that trust is always worth the wait. 💕

We had a wonderful experience with Jennifer sitting our two cats! One of our cats is diabetic and receives insulin on a strict schedule-- she is also not fond of strangers. Jennifer did a great job of getting her to warm up to her and cooperate with her injections. We were really able to relax and enjoy our time away because we knew that this was being handled. The photo updates were beautiful as well!

I highly recommend Jennifer! She took care of our fluffy lady cat for more than 2 weeks while we were out on a long trip. When we came back she was doing perfect. She has very sensitive eyes and she took good care of them. She would send us a report with pictures and videos every day :)

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Orlando cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
