Cat Sitting in Tampa, FL

I’ve had cats my entire life and currently share my home with two of my own. Caring for cats isn’t a side hobby for me, it’s simply part of who I am.

I volunteer with a local cat-focused animal rescue, helping with both tech support and adoption events. I’ve worked with cats of all ages and temperaments, from energetic kittens to senior cats with medical needs. I’m comfortable administering oral medications and have cared for diabetic cats requiring twice-daily insulin injections.

During the past 8 months, I traveled across North America and completed numerous cat sits on a different platform and earned 18 five-star reviews...

During the past 8 months, I traveled across North America and completed numerous cat sits on a different platform and earned 18 five-star reviews. I’ve cared for shy cats, high-energy cats, bonded pairs, seniors, and special-needs cats in many different home environments.

I recently sold my company, which means I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to the cats I care for. I’m not rushing between commitments. Your cat gets my full attention.

During visits, I prioritize consistency, calm energy, and reading each cat’s personality. Some want play. Some want space. Some want to curl up next to you. I adapt to them. I keep litter boxes spotless, food routines consistent, and send thoughtful updates with photos so you feel completely at ease while you’re away.

If you’re looking for someone responsible, detail-oriented, and genuinely experienced with cats of all types, I’d love to help.

Learn More About Brandon

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve had cats my entire life and currently have two of my own. Beyond personal ownership, I volunteer with a local cat-focused rescue and regularly assist at adoption events, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of temperaments and personalities. Over the past year, I’ve also completed numerous cat sits across North America through TrustedHousesitters, earning 18 five-star reviews. I’ve cared for kittens, senior cats, bonded pairs, shy cats, and cats with medical needs. I’m comfortable administering oral medications and have cared for a diabetic cat requiring twice-daily insulin injections. Cats are not new territory for me. They’ve always been a consistent part of my life.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I like to start with a clear conversation about routines, feeding schedules, litter preferences, play habits, hiding spots, and any medical or behavioral considerations. Every cat is different, and I want to follow your system, not impose mine. During visits, I prioritize consistency. I keep feeding times steady, litter boxes clean, and the environment calm. I spend intentional time observing and interacting based on the cat’s personality. Some want active play, others prefer quiet companionship. You’ll receive thoughtful updates with photos after each visit so you know exactly how your cat is doing. My goal is for you to feel completely at ease while you’re away.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Safety starts with awareness and routine. I double-check doors, windows, and gates on arrival and departure. I’m careful with entry and exit, especially with cats that are curious or quick near doors. I pay attention to small changes in behavior, appetite, litter box usage, and energy levels, since those are often early indicators that something is off. If anything seems unusual, I communicate immediately. I also respect the home as if it were my own. I recently sold my company, so I have a flexible schedule and am not rushing between jobs. That means I can give each visit my full attention rather than treating it like a quick stop. Your cat’s comfort and your home’s security are never an afterthought.

Brandon got in touch with me right away and was easy to communicate with. I meet him and was able to talk to him a little about the cats. He has an online tool that has all the details. He was in constant communication with me throughout the period, and when I got home the cats were not even mad at me. He left detailed notes for each day. I would highly recommend him. Thanks Brandon.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Tampa cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
