Hi everyone, I’m Julie! Here’s a little about me, my cat-sitting experience, and my own cats, each of which has made a permanent impression on my heart ❤️ Me: I’m a professional singer and student dancer based in Indianapolis so my schedule is quite flexible (with the exception of occasional evening rehearsals/performances). With cat sitting, I have at times taken reservations that were last-minute or outside of my area, so please always feel free to message me to see if I can help you! My sitting schedule is often packed so I do block off some of my calendar to protect down time, but like I said, if you’re ever in a fix or just planning a trip and see that my calendar is closed, reach out to me first and we’ll see what we can do! Also, if you request “anytime” visits vs. a specific time of day, it’s more likely I’ll be able to fit you in last minute ❤️ 1x a day visits vs. 2x a day visits are also most accommodable on short notice! 🗓️ As a sitter, I love taking notes, paying attention to the details, and giving your cat the space or play they need to be their happiest, healthiest selves. And speaking of health, I will always mask at meet-and-greets if requested! Also if you or your kiddos just have a cold but you have to meet before you travel, please just let me know and I'll mask up! That way I can aim to be my healthiest self while taking care of your kitties too. I am my mother’s caretaker and she's immunocompromised due to cancer, so I am very proactive in keeping us both safe ❤️ I am fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid. I deeply understand how hard it is to leave your babies at home, especially when they have extra important needs like scheduled feedings and medication. It can feel really scary to trust someone else with them but can be such a huge relief when you know you have a sitter you can count on! In particular, my sweet cat Turtle was abused before he was rescued, and so he was TERRIFIED of strangers, but as a diabetic he had to have his insulin shots like clockwork. After 8 months of getting to know our own beloved sitter, Turtle no longer tried to hide or flee, but instead became his completely sweet and chatty self when she was around, and even let her pick him up and hold him! I've had the same kind of experiences with my own skittish kitty clients, and I know how special that trust is and how wonderful it is to give your clients that same peace of mind that my sitter provides for me. I want to pay that forward and provide that exact same level of care for your babies when you're on the road!
