Hi! I’m Natasha, and I’ve had cats in my family since I was 6 years old. As an only child, my family’s three cats were my first best friends. I lost the last of my three cats to a 6-year battle against chronic kidney disease in June 2021. He was 20 years old when he passed, and I still think of him everyday.

💼 Occupation
Outside of being a cat-lover and parent, I am a Research Scientist at Northeastern University. My research focuses on developing technologies to help families of children with autism.

I live in the Melrose/Malden area and am willing to travel up to 25 min by car or 30 min by public transit to your home.

I have an almost 100% success rate entertaining cats with a long-reaching feather wand 😺 But my favorite cat toy is whatever your cat is interested in!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I respect boundaries, cats and humans alike! I understand that some cats can be fearful and anxious around new humans and give them time to get accustomed to my scent, voice, and presence. I also try to offer them food or a treat. Patience is important.

Natasha took wonderful care of my cat, Meatball, while I was away. She was incredibly kind and followed all of the care instructions I left with great attention to detail, which gave me so much peace of mind. During every visit, she communicated promptly and sent detailed updates, so I always knew how Meatball was doing. She also went above and beyond by bringing all of my packages inside, which I really appreciated. It’s clear that Natasha genuinely cares about both the pets and their owners. Natasha was attentive to my two cats different needs. Asterisk is outgoing and playful and Ampersand is shy and hides under the bed when strangers come. She spent time playing with Asterisk and reached out to Ampersand and even made some progress with him, getting him out from under the bed at a distance.

Natasha did a wonderful job taking care of our cat while we were gone for almost a week. She responded quickly to our request and was able to accommodate a last-minute change to our reservation. Natasha visited our boy at regular times, updated us on his feeding and behavior, and provided many photos and videos while we were away.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
