I have a calm, low-key presence that cats respond to naturally, especially those who are shy, anxious, or slow to warm up. I never rush them — I let cats set the pace and come to me on their own terms... Cats have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember — I grew up with them and have loved every moment. That lifelong bond means I truly understand cat behavior, body language, and what makes each cat feel safe and comfortable in their own space.
I have a calm, low-key presence that cats respond to naturally, especially those who are shy, anxious, or slow to warm up. I never rush them — I let cats set the pace and come to me on their own terms. Whether your cat loves cuddles or prefers to keep their distance, I’ll meet them exactly where they are.
My schedule is highly flexible, so you can count on me to be available when you need it most. I treat every visit with care and attentiveness — checking food, water, litter, and most importantly, making sure your cat feels loved and not alone. I’m happy to send updates and photos so you always know your baby is doing well.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a 10 year old baby Russian Blue, Tobias, who is a total velcro bathroom cat (if you know, you know). I also have two 1 year old actual babies, one who is the textbook example of a dream cat, and her little brother who is open to pets and firm butt pats on his terms only, only in bed or on the couch.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I am an expert cat entertainer and have remarkable patience to make the bird act like a real bird or the laser a real bug intruder.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I work with high school boys and a big part of our work is teaching them about consent and for me to practice considerable patience. As cat owners, I’m sure you can imagine how transferable this skill set is to caring for cats of all kinds. They set the pace, I follow their lead. Adapt and adjust as needed.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Somerville cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
