What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been cat sitting since grade school! I watched my childhood best friend’s cats when their family was on vacation. This was before I ever lived with cats as I grew up with dogs only. However, now that I have daily experience living with cats, I’m confident I can provide the best possible cat sitting experience for both the cat parents and fur babies!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two cats named Gus and Lou. I adopted Gus while living in South Carolina. He is a 15 lb, sassy and friendly, dog-like boy, who runs my home (in other words, he’s the king). Louie hails from West Virginia, and I adopted him from a shelter in Virginia right before the pandemic struck to give Gus a brother to play with. Lou is a pure white, cuddly teddy bear, who loves belly rubs and grooming human eyebrows. My boys are my pride and joy.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

If kitties are expressing anxiety, I practice patience and allow them time to get used to my presence and smell. If needed, treats and toys are a good bribing strategy to gain the little one’s trust. Other than that, I will give a shy cat their personal space and ensure they know I’m simply there to care for them by providing them with food, fresh water, and a clean litter box.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
