What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have experience with cat sitting since 2021. My friend's neighbor owned one, and I was in charge of feeding him, changing his litter, and keeping him company while he was on vacation.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy hanging out and playing with the cats. My cats themselves are extremely playfully and they love attention. Giving them the attention they desire is huge in pet bonding
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes, I have 2 cats, Belle and Annie. They were born ferel outside of our church in 2015. Belle herself has to take anxiety medication every day to make sure she goes in the litter box without accidents
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Go with your gut. If something is telling you from the description of what they offer that you need help in that situation, feel free to ask for clarity. If not, then look at alternatives.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I usually will introduce myself to the parent to let them know where I stand, what my rates are, who I've worked with in the past, and any questions they need. Then I'll grab a treat or their favorite toy and warm up to the cats themselves.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I always make sure the doors are locked when leaving and entering the place, I also ask about any light fixtures or ceiling fans they keep on for security reasons, and If they have cameras I can monitor those if needed as well.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toys are the mice and balls. My cats love me throwing them and they run after them. Sometimes they'll bring it back, or they'll have me retrieve it
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
If available, I'll try to lure them out using treats or toys. If they still won't come with those, I'll sit down in one of their favorite spots (chair, room, etc) and wait for them to come to me.

AJ did a fantastic job! He was timely and attentive when he came to meet us and our kitty. He kept her litter box very clean, brought up our mail and watered our plants during that horribly hot spell. He checked in with us bout concerns with Nala going out in the heat and keeping the temp in the house comfortable for her. She even sat on his lap! Will definitely ask for AJ again!!

If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
