When I am cat sitting, I love to talk to, play, and cuddle with the cat(s). I always adjust to their personality, though. Some cats may just want some lap time, while some may hide the first few visits. I do my best to gain their trust while being respectful of their space and boundaries. I’ve been told many... Cats have been my favorite animal for as long as I can remember. I have over 20 years of experience with them. My calm and loving nature typically draws cats to me.
When I am cat sitting, I love to talk to, play, and cuddle with the cat(s). I always adjust to their personality, though. Some cats may just want some lap time, while some may hide the first few visits. I do my best to gain their trust while being respectful of their space and boundaries. I’ve been told many times that cats choose me because they can sense the trust and love.
I was a veterinary technician for about three years in SC before moving to MN in 2021. I have experience in many medical related areas, including injections, oral medications, eye/ear medications, etc. I know that less is more when restraining a cat, as they hate feeling trapped, so I tend to spend a little bit of extra time when administering any medication to reduce their stress as much as possible.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Cats are my favorite, so I really just enjoy being in their company and gaining their trust, love, and respect.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
Two extremely sweet kitties that greeted me every day at the door with lots of meows and purrs. They love to play!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I have a mother (6 years old) and daughter (5 years old) bonded pair named Dani and Jubilee respectively.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy is the Cat dancer. Super cheap and simple, but I’ve never met a cat that didn’t go crazy for it!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
When a cat is more timid or anxious, I give them space and let them establish a boundary. I’ll never force any contact, but I speak softly and do my best to show I’m not a threat.

Lacie is wonderful and our cats loved her! She is super reliable and diligent, which is important. But much more importantly, she really, really loves cats and she loved our babies while we were out of the country for a week for the first time since we got them last year. I was nervous about leaving them with someone new, but from the time they met Lacie, I knew she would take good care of them. She's also a wonderful communicator, sending pictures, videos and updates each day to let me know the cats were doing ok. I will definitely be making Lacie a regular part of our cat care routine, whenever we travel.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Saint Paul cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Lacie is the only person outside of myself who my cat trusts. She is so great at reading his body language and giving him the love and attention he needs.
