I'm Catherine, a young professional working remotely in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn. As a devoted cat owner, lover, volunteer, and experienced sitter, I'm committed to providing your feline friend with the same level of care and affection I give my own.

I currently share my home with Pigi, a curious and playful adult orange tabby, and my roommate's energetic tuxedo kitten. This firsthand experience keeps my cat-care skills sharp and up-to-date.
During home visits, I'll ensure your cat receives comfort, food, medication (if needed), and playtime. I'm also happy to water plants or handle other household tasks you may need. Rest assured, I'll keep you updated with frequent photos and videos of your furry friend.
I'm experienced in administering various medications, including eye drops, ear drops, and oral treatments. Please inform me of any special needs, preferences, or quirks your cat may have, such as favorite toys or preferred interaction styles.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've been providing catsitting services on apps for over 6 years as well as for friends and acquaintances, making visits and boarding their kitties. I've always had great experiences with the clients and kitties, no matter the personalities, needs, and communication styles.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I catsat for a client who became a recent cat parent and brought in a stray kitten from her backyard. She was super nervous and timid but over the course of days/weeks, it was so endearing to see her open up so warmly and sweetly each visit, approaching closer and with more confidence. I was also able to provide my experiences with cats, whether it was interpreting and bringing out different behaviors or giving recommendations on feeding schedule, toys, and interactions. I loved getting to know the kitty and client more over several visits and being a reliable sitter for them.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I usually ask some initial questions to understand the clients needs for the reservation including visit schedule/constraints and preference for the meet-and-greet to ensure I can meet their needs. Then we set up either a virtual or in-person meeting where I have a set of questions to go through to fully understand the logistics of the visit as well as get to know their kitty more comprehensively. I always offer opportunity for any questions from the client or additional notes/reminders during and after the meeting. I explain my typical process and communication style, aligning it to the client's preference. I keep in close contact with the client up to and during the visits to ensure their kitty (and home!) is in good hands.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Elmhurst cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

A small thing I noticed that I appreciate is she must take the litter trash out to the outside bins. It sounds small but it makes a difference to not come home to smelly trash
