I know that some cats are ... I’ve always loved how each cat has their own unique personality, preferences, and way of communicating. Over the past two years, I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for cats through pet-sitting for friends and regular animal shelter volunteering. More recently, I began fostering three kittens, who are now five months old, which has given me additional hands-on experience caring for young cats and learning their individual routines, personalities, and needs.
I know that some cats are immediately friendly and social, while others need a little more time and space to feel comfortable. I’m patient and attentive to their body language and always let them set the pace. Whether your cat wants playtime and attention or simply a calm presence nearby, I’m happy to meet them where they are.
I take pride in providing thoughtful, reliable, and loving care, and I treat every cat as an individual. My goal is for your cat to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I’m currently fostering three 5-month-old kittens—Shelly, Sesame, and Babie. Each of them has a completely different personality, and I love getting to know their individual quirks and preferences. I truly enjoy spending time with them every day and watching them grow and develop their own unique personalities.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Communication is very important when working with a new cat parent. I like to learn as much as possible about the cat’s personality, routines, preferences, and any special needs before the visit. Understanding these details helps me provide attentive, individualized care and create a comfortable experience for the cat. I also keep pet parents updated with regular messages and photos so they can feel confident that their cat is safe, happy, and well cared for while they're away.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
While cat sitting, I treat each cat parent’s home with the same care and respect as if it were my own. I always ensure doors and windows are secure, follow all household instructions carefully, and keep the environment safe and free of hazards for the cats. I’m mindful of potential escape risks and make sure cats remain safely indoors. Before leaving, I double-check that doors are locked and that the cats have everything they need, including food, water, and a clean litter box.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
My sitting philosophy is to always put the cats first. When caring for timid or anxious cats, I respect their boundaries and give them the time and space they need to feel comfortable. I carefully observe their behavior, follow their established routines, and use a calm, patient approach to help build trust. I make sure their needs are met according to the cat parent’s instructions and provide regular updates so owners feel informed and reassured while they’re away.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Long Island City cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
