I thoroughly enjoy the company of cats and my current kitty, Raven,... I am a cat lover and owned cats since I was just a child. I understand how to read a cats body language, knowing so much is told through their posture, their tail, and their ears. I am quiet and calm and am very good at earning trust from timid and standoffish kitties.
I thoroughly enjoy the company of cats and my current kitty, Raven, is 4 years old. Most of my cats were adopted.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love learning each cat’s unique personality, likes and dislikes. After a few days together, they feel like extended family.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Just like your cats, each sitter’s personality is different. Find the sitter that best matches you and your cats. Some are high energy and great for rambunctious playful cats, others (like myself) are more calm and quiet and better with the more skittish, timid cats.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I always am very cautious when I first enter, to ensure no curious or anxious cats try to slip out the door as I enter. I lock the door when I enter. And I always watch that all doors are closed (or open), so no kitties get into unsafe places. I also watch for any toys or objects that a bored, playful cat might get hurt on while home alone. (Like string toys that they could get entangled in. I will wrap these up and tuck away, only pulling out to play with during my visit). I always confirm the door is safely locked again when leaving.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Most often I am. I dont mind popping over for a cat sit during a holiday.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I make sure I move calmly but also confidently through the house. No sudden movements or noises. (Including my phone, and the door when I enter). I will often sit on the floor in a clearly visible space, with my hands out, so the cat(s) can assess me and approach as they are comfortable. I also utilize the slow blink to slow I am safe. Very often, with this approach, I have been able to win over some very timid cats.

Bethany truly did an amazing job with our shy kitties! We have five cats, one of them close to 18 years old, and all five warmed up to her by her final day of caring for them. Our senior cat is hyperthyroid and needs a pill twice a day, a supplement once a day, and also started an oral antibiotic days before our reservation - Bethany was great with all three types. We got updates and pictures during every visit, and it was a huge relief knowing our kitties were being looked after so we could enjoy our vacation. Thank you thank you! If I could give more than five stars, I would!!

One of my cats is on daily medication and she did great with her, and the other is extremely shy and I was worried he would hide from her at every visit- but she had him out and cuddling within 5 minutes! it was our first time using Bethany, but won’t be our last. we were away for two weeks and, while gone, our old cat had a medical emergency. Bethany communicated throughout the entire event, took our cat to the vet after hours, helped us Face Time with the vet while on the middle of a cruise, and stayed with our cat until the very end (we decided to let her go). she also coordinated with the cremation company on our behalf since our phones weren’t working. I cannot recommend her enough…she truly went above and beyond without any hesitation or making us fee as though she was inconvenienced. she also took extra care with our remaining, shy cat to make sure he was ok afterwards. I’d give her a 20/10 if I could.

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Columbus cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
