Hi :) My name is Dana and I’m here to take care of all your pet parent needs and concerns while you’re away! I have 2 sweet babies, (Stella -Tuxedo, Jasper - Orange boy, check out the pictures on my profile) so I know exactly what it’s like to want to travel while still making sure your cats are well taken care of. I have had my cat Jasper for 5 years and his sister Stella for 3 years. Before that, I grew up with dogs, cats, fish and the occasional baby bird we’d nurse back to health after it fell out of our tree, so I am no stranger to animals!
Having 2 cats of my own, I know how hard it can be to find people who will love your cats as you do while also respecting the boundaries that cats set with us. I petsit (cats and dogs) for my friends while they’re out of town and have made so many close bonds, that I decided to expand my services!
Outside of cat sitting, I currently work from home as a Compliance Analyst at a Financial Market Research Firm. So if you’re looking for someone with attention to detail, look no further!
I’ve lived in Philadelphia for about 10 years now, so I’m no stranger to the city.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for over 5 years now! I started small with watching friends pets, cats and dogs alike! I then began fostering, and taking care of the cats around my neighborhood. From there I adopted my own cats and never looked back
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I have 2 cats, Jasper and Stella! Taking care of them is what made me realize how amazing and rewarding cat sitting can be!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Introductions of course! :) Making sure the new cat parent is comfortable is my top priority! I know it can be daunting trusting someone new with your cat. So answering and asking as many questions as possible, so we’re both prepared is the best approach. And making sure that they know, Im not just a sitter but also a resource for any cat related questions or concerns they may have! I have researched and studied cat behavior and tend to lend suggestions to parents when warranted!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Give them the space and time to come to me! When entering a cats space, they need to know that I’m not a threat to them, so I talk to them to let them know I’m a safe person and in due time they open up!

I've been lucky enough to use Dana to take of my two kitties for 3 extended trips and she is always amazing, caring, and she keeps me informed. Before I had Dana to watch the boys they would be full of anxiety, clingy, and barely eat while I was away. Now they remember her and when I walk in the door they look at me like "Why are you here, where's Dana?" lol Thank you Dana!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Philadelphia cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!

Dana absolutely went above and beyond for me and my cats. During our meet and greet, the cats instantly loved her and all greeted her enthusiastically, which is honestly hard for two of my shy cats any other time we’ve entroduced a stranger, but even they fell in love with Dana! She was amazingly kind and understanding with me about everything, going absolutely above and beyond for my cats. We did the math wrong for cans needed and she even made sure to grab more. Dana cares so much about the cats she’s looking after, I couldn’t have had a better experience and I recommend Dana 100 times over!! I definitely found my go to cat sitter.

Dana was truly fantastic! I was away for four days and this is the longest I have ever been away from my girls. I initially felt bad for being away for so long, but knowing Dana was there caring for my two girls provided me with so much relief. She was amazing with both of my girls, and even my shy girl enjoyed her company (she normally hides when I have visitors). Dana followed my care instructions to a T and sent pictures/videos daily. It was so reassuring knowing my girls were safe and happy while I was away. I will definitely book with Dana again :) She is very clearly a cat person!

Dana is the absolute best! She followed any instructions I gave and texted me frequent updates to verify. This was great and exactly what I expected - but Dana blew me away with how she got to know my lil Riley. Dana is much more than a sitter. She's not just there to clean the litter box and top off food, she truly wants your cat to have a great experience while you're gone and she takes the time to get to know their unique personality. Riley doesn't make human friends easily and after our brief meet and greet, she waited at the door for a few minutes hoping she'd come back. Dana is rare and I'm happy to leave a glowing review for her but (selfishly) hesitant because I believe she's the best kept secret on Meowtel. Riley can't wait to have her back!

This was my first time using Meowtel and I'm glad I found Dana. She managed to draw out even my most reluctant cat for some treats and play time and took care of the daily care stuff (litter, wet food, keeping an eye on dry food and water) while I was away. She also sent me pictures and videos, as well as updates of my boys. Would definitely recommend Dana and book her again if schedules allow.

We had never left our cat alone for a long stretch before or hired a catsitter, and Dana relieved every bit of anxiety we had and really blew us away with the level of care she provided. It was so clear from every photo and video update that our cat was extremely comfortable with her and well loved. She really took so much care to make sure our social boy was doing well mentally and physically while we were away. 5 stars doesn’t do her justice!!

Been using this app for about a year and a half now. Dana is by far the best cat sitter I have worked with. Everything from the Meet & Greet to picking up my keys was stress free, as she quickly built up trust that she would do a great job. While I was gone, my cat Pudge quickly befriended Dana, which is unusual. Dana went above and beyond what I had asked, taking care of Pudge like she was Dana’s own.

Dana was absolutely fantastic with my two kitties. I was feeling anxious leaving my one cat who has regenerative anemia, but Dana took amazing care of both them. Dana was the absolute best, I can’t even describe! My cat is so nervous but for comfortable with Dana very quickly. I felt so at peace knowing my cat was in such good hands. I have the type of cat that insists on being next to me 24/7. She's relentlessly (but adorably?) needy. when I leave her to her own devices for 8 hours, she acts like the world is ending when I return. Every time Dana takes care of her though, I return to a happy, satisfied cat. it's clear that Dana knows what she needs and in my absence, she definitely delivers. Excellent communication, over and above anticipation, and just a kind soul.
