I grew up with cats, but despite being a huge cat lover, I currently don't have any of my own, due to my unfortunately allergic husband. I volunteered for PAWS and ACCT at various pet store locations for several years pre-pandemic, taking care of the cats that were available for adoption. At the PAWS location, we had a set list of responsibilities during our shifts, including feeding, cleaning the cages and litter boxes, administering medication as needed, facilitating meetings between potential adopters and the cats, and processing applications. The ACCT location had a dedicated staff for these things, so volunteers were mainly encouraged to just spend time with the cats, but I did assist with feeding and cleaning as needed. I often cat sit for family and friends when they go away. I have set up a cold weather shelter in my backyard for any strays in the neighborhood, and leave them food.

I am an accountant for a large insurance company. I work a hybrid schedule so I work from home a few days a week. I live in Fox Chase, so I would be most interested in cat sitting in northeast Philadelphia and nearby parts of Montgomery and Bucks county. I will have the most availability in the evening, but could make extra trips on the weekend and work from home days. I like to take any opportunities to spend time with cats in my downtime I can get, since I am unable to have a cat of my own, so I will cherish my time with your cats and give them all of the attention they want. I respect that some cats are cautious around strangers, so I will let them come to me, and make sure their needs are met in the way that makes them the most content and comfortable.

My Covid protocol will involve using hand sanitizer before entering your house, and washing my hands before and after feeding and litter cleaning. I am happy to wear a mask if you prefer as well.

Jamie is the best!!! She gives nice updates with pictures of your cats. Keeps the cats fed and spends time playing with the cats. Jamie also brought my mail inside. Very professional. She is my go to.

Jaime was absolutely wonderful. She went above & beyond taking great care of our fur baby. She replenished her food and water everyday and even scooped the liter box for us. Our cat seemed to warm up to her pretty well, especially when Jaime would brush her which is her favorite thing in the whole world. I would use her again and again.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
