Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a sweet baby named Fiona at my parents’ house! She has been queen of the castle for 12 years and counting. I don’t currently have cats of my own, but my roommate has two, Barney and Margie, that I care for often when she is out of town. I love them dearly and look forward to getting the kitty snuggles all to myself!

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I am very careful while opening and closing doors, especially entry ways to the home! Cats can be little daredevils, so I make sure that they don’t have an opportunity to dart out of the house or sneak into a closet. I always keep exterior doors shut and locked, and I stay aware of my surroundings. Making sure your home stays safe and secure is a big priority to me!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Timid cats need time to feel safe when a new person is in their home, so I never force the first interaction. I gradually increase my proximity over time and use treats, toys, and lots of pets to build trust!

Tera was EXCELLENT - dependable, trustworthy, and took great care of my senior cat. I love when I can leave town and not have to worry! My cat usually takes a while to warm up to strangers, but he immediately liked her and was asking to be patted in no time. She sent updates and pictures, and communication was great! I will definitely schedule with Tera again!

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
