Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have five! I have one big grey tabby, his name is Infinite Mugen. Our two resident dark tabbies, Maxwell and Catra. Then the younger twins - a very cute bright orange and white buddy named Jakey From State Farm, and his sister, Calliope Peanut Butter.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes I am! I am available on holidays and also during emergencies on holidays. I understand that life happens, and your cats are safe in my care while you enjoy your festivities.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I use the wait and ignore approach, taking time to sit on the floor or wait on the couch until they come out to eat. Especially on overnight stays. I use the employ of treats after the first visit, if treats are allowed. I have found the best approach is always to let them approach.

Adriene has known me and my cat for many years now and she's always handled him very well. He's got some aggression yet she handles him with care and has never had an incident with him. I've never once seen her get angry with an animal, she really is a person of great patience and care. She adores animals and would make an excellent caretaker for any animal; she's even cared for birds and exotic animals, as well as reptiles.

My cat Greg is a particularly rude boy, known for fits of rage and moments where he needs to be handled a certain way. When watching Greg, Adriene was able to determine the best source of his stress was separation anxiety. She was able to maneuver around Greg during his fits and ensure he got used to her without the need for shouting / physical touch. Now, he's as cuddly as can be and doesn't immediately hide when strangers come over!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
