I’m a cat mom of two cats who couldn’t be more different from each other. My boy Rigby is a big, fluffy social butterfly, while my girl Hazel is a small, sweet, and shy cat who prefers quiet company. Caring for both has taught me how to connect with all kinds of personalities — from confident cuddlers to cautious observers.
Though Rigby may act like he rules the world (or at least my apartment), he’s actually quite sensitive and was diagnosed with IBD as a kitten... Hi! My name is Nastassja, and if there’s one thing I pride myself on, it’s being responsible and communicative. I’m an anxious cat mom myself, so I completely understand the stresses of traveling. My goal is to ease that stress as much as possible and assure you that your cats are in patient, reliable, and caring hands.

Though Rigby may act like he rules the world (or at least my apartment), he’s actually quite sensitive and was diagnosed with IBD as a kitten. That was a very stressful time in my life, filled with countless tests and vet visits to figure out what was going on with him. Since then, he’s recovered and grown into a super healthy and happy cat who lives on a special IBD friendly diet. Through his journey, I learned how to administer liquid medication, manage special diets, and stay extremely attentive to subtle health or behavioral changes. You can rest assured that I’ll do the exact same for your cats.
In terms of my pet sitting experiences, I’ve been cat sitting for friends for the past year and always make sure every cat I care for has a clean litter box, fresh food and water, and plenty of love. I also love to send daily photos and updates since I know how comforting that is when you’re away!
My schedule is flexible and allows for a range of visit times and days. I’m based in Central Austin and am willing to drive around the city! I am excited to meet and care for your fur babies!!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting a few of my friends cats for the past year! I have taken care of both super shy cats and very outgoing cats, so I feel comfortable with various personalities.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love spending time with all of the cats I meet and getting to know their unique personalities and preferences. Whether a cat wants quiet company on the couch or wants to play and run across the room, I am happy to be there and provide whatever they need to feel the most comfortable. Each cat is so different, but all of them are incredibly sweet, so I am happy to be a small part in their life!
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite cat sitting experience was with a shy tabby cat named Cleo. When I first came in, she hid under her owners bed for about 20 minutes. I wanted to give her a ton of space and allow her to come to me, so I sat on the couch quietly for a while. All of a sudden I heard a loud “meowww” and there she was, standing on the couch, finally feeling confident enough to greet me. Her and I took it slow, but she quickly became more comfortable with me and even sat and played with me for a while. This memory sticks out to me because I felt like she announced her presence with that loud and sudden meow, which always makes me giggle wheneve i think back to it.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Austin cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
