My experience started when “Kitty Cat” (the only name she would come to) came on our porch on Christmas Eve. We had her for many years. We also had Rascal around the same time. He was spunky and Kitty begrudgingly tolerated him... Hello, I'm Jenn! I started cat sitting for friends and Meowtel this year, but I've already been reviewed as a cat whisperer! I’ve had cats since grade school. I've also just started a Vet Assistant program and volunteering at a shelter so I can work more with animals.
My experience started when “Kitty Cat” (the only name she would come to) came on our porch on Christmas Eve. We had her for many years. We also had Rascal around the same time. He was spunky and Kitty begrudgingly tolerated him.
Later on, I adopted my sweet Connie when a roommate left her behind. I had her for 16 years. She was probably up to 20 years old before she became ill and crossed the Rainbow Bridge (I met her before I met my husband).
After we were ready, we adopted two stray kitten boys, Laszlo and Nandor (yes, named after two vampire characters from a sitcom). We take them out in our yard on a leash almost every day. They are black cats but we believe they are good luck!
I know what my cats mean to me, and I’m sure your cats mean as much to you.
I'm ready to show up with a notebook to take notes and take the best care of your fur baby (babies).

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
Even though I'm new to formal sitting, I have cat sat for friends and been a cat mom for decades. I have also volunteered at shelters in the past.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
We have two boys, Laszlo and Nandor (yes, named after the vampire characters). We chose them because black cats are often overlooked for adoption but they are sssooooo people friendly.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
By respecting their space, sharing quiet and calm, and following the Jackson Galaxy method of blinking and introducing my sent.

Jennifer took care of our 2 cats for a month. She sent pictures each time she visited, she let me know when we were almost out of litter so that we could order more. She did an excellent job taking care of them, and our cats were really comfortable around her. We'd love to work with Jennifer again in the future.

Jennifer provided excellent communication and sent plenty of photos during her visits, which I really appreciated. While she is reliable with updates, she didn't strictly follow all of the steps in my pets' care plan. Overall, Jennifer is a dependable cat person who truly cares about the kitties in her charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Everett cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $34.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Jenn took care of my three babies a number of times. She’s been absolutely wonderful with them - my cats adore her. I call her the Cat Whisperer - even the skittish one warmed up to her immediately! She also came up with a bespoke feeding system for us, when one of the cats kept getting their food stolen by the others. Jenn is truly great, we are so lucky to have her! I highly recommended her.
