Typically, I like to meet the cat and speak with the humans before my first visit so I can ask questions and make sure we are all comfortable together. I always let the cat lead, giving them space when they wan... I’ve had cats my entire life and know how how to care for felines of all temperaments. I’m a very patient, loving, and playful cat dad who takes the same approach to the cats I work with.
Typically, I like to meet the cat and speak with the humans before my first visit so I can ask questions and make sure we are all comfortable together. I always let the cat lead, giving them space when they want it, or letting them curl up on me for a good long cuddle.
If there is one thing that sets me apart from cat sitters it’s that I know how speak their language. I never rush or crowd them. I recognize certain behaviors very quickly and can adjust based on how they respond to me.
I have plenty of experience administering medications, cleaning litter boxes, and keeping them loved and entertained.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been cat sitting for over 20+ years. Growing up with three cats, I was always tapped to take care of the other pets in my neighborhood.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Isn’t it obvious? The cats! They just make me happy. And as someone who knows how hard it can be to leave your cat when you’re away, it makes me feel good to know I can help cat owners relax a little while theirs gone.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Right now my only cat’s name is Miles (although his personality is almost more like a dog 😹). He is the latest in a long line of cat’s I’ve had in my life.

Once again, Zachary took such good care of our cats they barely missed us. Throughout our trip Zachary was an awesome communicator, sent tons of photos, and was diligent about wound care and updates when one of our fur babies had a mishap right before we traveled. While we were away we slept so soundly knowing out cats were in such great hands. Thank you Zachary and see you again soon!!!!!

Zachary was a godsend while we traveled for the holidays. He was prompt, communicative and sent tons of kitty photos. He took the time to get to know our cats, took the time to play with them and earn their trust, and they absolutely loved him by the end of the first day of sitting. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Seattle cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Zachary did a great job and took excellent care of our cat, applying meds and cleaning up vomit and a couple of accidents. He made sure that our cat received lots of attention on his visits, sent photos, and indulged her fondness for being vacuumed. Can't ask for more. Highly recommend, and would use again.

Zach is a super responsible and clean pet owner. Him and his wife take amazing care of their baby Miles (cat). Anytime Miles has needed ANYTHING he gets it asap, whether that's vet care, a change in food or just simple comforts :) I believe Zach has alot of empathy which is why he's so good with animals and reading situations, good or bad. He has watched over our cat whilst we've traveled and has looked after other kitties in the neighborhood with much success! I believe he would make an excellent addition to anyone pet care.
