I’ve been caring for cats for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a home full of pets, my family trusted me to help care for our fuzzy friends, and before long I became the go-to pet sitter for friends, family, and neighbors. Over the years, I’ve cared for cats with all kinds of personalities, ages, and needs through drop-in visits, house sitting, and daily care.
Living with cats has helped me develop a strong understanding of feline behavior and body language. I pay close attention to each cat’s personality, preferences, and boundaries so they can feel comfortable and secure while their humans are away... Hi, my name is Nel.

Some cats love attention and cuddles, while others prefer quiet companionship, playtime, or simply having their space respected and I’m happy to meet them where they’re at.
During my visits, I focus on maintaining your cat’s normal routine as closely as possible. I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, playtime and enrichment, and plenty of affection if needed. I also provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your cat is happy and well cared for.
What sets me apart is my patience and genuine love for cats. I don’t believe in forcing interactions. Instead, I take the time to earn a cat’s trust and build a connection at their pace. My goal is to make your cat feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own home while you’re away.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I highly recommend to do meet & greet with sitters before the actual booking starts. It helps to see beforehand if your cat will like their sitter or is open to spend time with a new person while you’re away which will give additional piece of mind.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am generally available during the holidays, since I tend to spend them in the area with friends.

Nel is incredible! Our kitties are usually really shy and can be difficult to form a bond with, especially when we’re not around. Nel charmed them quickly and got them to play. They even were greeting Nel at the door too, which was nice to see and helped us relax & no worry at all during our vacation. Plus the photos and video updates we’re so cute and awesome!! Also Nel went above and beyond with the extra requests we had. Nel will definitely be our (and our cats’) first choice next time we travel. We’re super grateful for the perfect cat sitting, and we’d highly recommend Nel!!

Nel was the most amazing cat-sitter for our week long trip. Nel stayed overnight for 4 nights, and each evening and morning left detailed recaps and plenty of pictures and videos so we were always confident that our kitties were well fed and happy. Nel also did an amazing job with our special needs kitten - going above and beyond to make sure he ate and was getting the extra help he needed going potty. We will absolutely be asking again for help with our kitties!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Seattle cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
