I'm Christi and I've loved cats since I was a little girl with my two kittens. I've had 5 cats, 4 of them black cats, in addition to other dogs, turtles, goats, horses, donkeys, etc ;) Spending time with a 10-year tuxedo, Scout, and a 7-year-old black cat, Chapo is the best part of my day.

Each visit will include cleaning the litter box, changing out the water dish & feeding plus as many pets & neck scratches and play time as your cat wants while you're away. I'll send you a detailed message and fun pictures after every visit as well.
I'm in the Central Phoenix/Uptown area and am available between 6am-7 pm most days to check in on your kitties. Downtown Phoenix, Midtown Phoenix, and Arcadia are in my service area too.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've been working with Meowtel since June 2022 and have had such a blast meeting new clients and their pawrents. I enjoy learning every new cat's unique personality and having fun with them.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Scout is my oldest, a 12-year old tuxedo lady. She runs the house with an iron first (or so she thinks) and she keeps me on my toes. Her favorite food is plastic scraps of trash, her favorite toy is my shoestring and her favorite place to sleep is on my clean clothes. Chapo is my 9-year old baby angel black shorthair girl. She was found as a kitten under an apartment stairwell and hasn't left my side since. She enjoys butting in on Scout's pets and attention as well as eating Scout's food.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
My typical process starts with scheduling a meet and greet a few days before you leave. During the meet and greet, we'll go over your feline friend's food, water, litter, play, and pet preferences. Once the reservation starts, I'll send you a message in Meowtel with their 'report card' for the day including pictures and other updates. Easy peasy.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
If your cat is timid, shy, or anxious, I'll make sure to start by giving them plenty of space and a calm environment for a few minutes. When they start to show an interest, I'll kneel down and slowly extend my hand to them. Patience and respecting their space are the keys, imo.

It is the second time Christi takes care of Haku. We were both concerned that he would not recognize her, but when she came back to take care of him, it was as if he reunited with a long friend. Christi kept me updated everyday and sent pictures (most of them if not all, are frame worthy 🤩). One of the days she noticed that there was no pee in the litter box and in the update she informed and mentioned what she thought could help Haku. I’m so glad she took care of him and was transparent rather than disregarding it. She is amazing 🤗

Christi was so incredible with my cats Duncan and Sabine. At our meet and greet, Duncan loved her immediately, and our more skittish girl Sabine warmed up to her so fast. Christi gave us very detailed updates after every visit which really put my mind at ease while out of town. It made my day to see how great they were doing with her! She kept everything super clean and followed our instructions to a T. I am absolutely going to book with Christi again because my cats were so happy and well cared for while I was away.

Overall, the reservation could not have gone better! First time user. We were concerned with kitty recently moving to a new home and then being cared for by a stranger. After hiding on day 1, he made an appearance for Christi on day 2. He felt an affinity towards her and seemed content with her care. He even let her brush him. Very pleased with the thoroughness of her communications.

This was the first time I left Haku for a week. Christi made it bearable and less stressful for both of us. She would send daily video/picture updates of him that reassured me he was eating/drinking and going to the bathroom well. Haku bonded so well with Christi that if I have any upcoming trips I know who to count on.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Phoenix cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
