I have a knack for figuring out what type of energy I need to bring when I enter the house, and I’ve never ended a visit without getting a couple photos of my new cat friends. I also have a good eye for photos so a lot of my clients appreciate an impromptu photo shoot for their cat(s)! Many of my client’s cats end up becoming like my own family, and even through moving away, we still maintain in contact!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been casually cat sitting for 20 years but only in the past 5 years (due to medical issues and having to step away from the veterinary field) did I start sitting full time.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Putting the owners at ease while they are away, and becoming good friends with their beloved cats. I know how hard it is to find a quality sitter.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I give them their space and allow them to approach me when they’re ready. I usually will sit on the ground several feet away from them (not facing them) and just stay there until they’re ready to sniff me/say hi. It helps when the cats are food motivated because when they realize I feed them and have treats, that can often win them over. But if they’re especially anxious, usually if I sing quietly and emit calming vibes, I typically can get them to come around after about 30 minutes.

Kimi is a cat whisperer. I have a very skittish and elusive cat that I was struggling to care for, and Kimi came over and cared for her effortlessly. Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
