What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been caring for cats for over 10 years, both for friends and family as well as through more formal pet sitting. I’ve looked after cats of all ages and temperaments—from playful kittens to shy seniors—and I really enjoy getting to know each one’s personality. My experience includes everything from basic daily care to giving medications, keeping routines consistent, and helping anxious cats feel safe while their owners are away.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I enjoy most about cat sitting is simply getting to be around cats. I don’t have any of my own right now, so this is how I get my cat fix. Every cat has their own personality, and it’s really special to build that bond and earn their trust. It means a lot to be able to keep them comfortable and cared for in their own home while their people are away.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

With timid or anxious cats, I always take a slow, gentle approach. I give them plenty of space and let them come to me when they feel ready, never forcing interaction. I stay quiet, move slowly, and spend time just sitting nearby so they can get used to my presence. I pay close attention to their body language and try to understand what makes them feel safe. Sometimes that means just quietly being in the same room while they hide, and that’s okay. Building trust takes time, and I’m always patient and respectful of their pace.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
