I’m excited to befriend your cats! I always will work to gain your cat’s trust through gentle introduction, playtime, and lots of petting, if your cat enjoys it. Of course I will make sure to check your cat’s food, water, and litter box to ensure they have everything they need.
I love animals! I grew up with dogs and cats, and I’ve worked as a rancher raising 25+ animals including cats, bunnies, chickens, ducks, lizards, sheep, cows, and donkeys... (You can message for detailed availability, even if blocked on calendar!)

I love animals! I grew up with dogs and cats, and I’ve worked as a rancher raising 25+ animals including cats, bunnies, chickens, ducks, lizards, sheep, cows, and donkeys. I’ve cared for cats of all ages and with many different health quirks, including oral medication, eye droplets, and injections.
There’s nothing I love more than hanging out with pets, and I’m excited that Meowtel gives me this opportunity! I promise nothing but the best experience for your cats.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite cat sitting reservation was with a sweet but scared boy named Winnie. He started out the first few days hiding in his tower and hissing if I tried to get close, but slowly he started to trust me, working our way up to pets and hand fed treats. By the end of the 5 day booking, Winnie was sitting in my lap purring happily. We even got his harness on for him to enjoy the outdoor patio for a while! This reservation with Winnie was so special, to slowly earn his trust and affection.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I currently have a 7 year old tabby named Baby! She’s the queen of the house, extremely demanding for attention. She will literally grab my hand with her paws and pull me forward for pets. She truly makes my house a home.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I work hard to build trust between myself and the cats, as well as with the pet parents. I will always send lots of updates with all my completed tasks each day, and include pictures! My hope is that I’m able to provide you a stress free trip, knowing your cat is being well cared for.

Joella is an excellent cat sitter! I admit that I am a kitty helicopter Mom so my expectations are pretty high and Joella far exceeded all of my expectations. She sent daily updates on what she did for my kitty and tons of pictures. She followed all my instructions and was very responsive to my texts. The icing on the cake for me was that she spent time trying to engage with my kitty daily. He is shy and nervous around new people and he was usually under the bed, hiding, at the beginning of every visit with her. Joella showed me she truly cared about him because she would sit right next to the bed and gave him treats to engage with him daily. Towards the end of her visits, he would almost always come out and play with her or go eat his food. I have had several other cat sitters and no other cat sitter has sat next to the bed and tried to engage with my kitty. I could tell she truly cares for cats and knows how to connect with them. The best part for me was that I could tell my kitty felt safe with her and truly liked her which made me so happy and enjoy my vacation. She is an excellent cat sitter and I will definitely book with her again. 😻

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Irvine cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $33.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

We love Joella! It can be difficult find someone you trust to come into your home and take care of your beloved pets, but Joella makes it easy. They took Poppy’s blood sugar which was helpful for me to know how she was doing. I received many text updates and photos.
