What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy meeting different cats and learning about their personalities. Some are super approachable, while others can be quite shy or nervous. I also enjoy just spending time with them - either playing, snuggling, or lounging around. Each cat is unique and has their own quirks to discover.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

My two kitties are Shiro and Soma. They have two very distinct personalities and are both quite vocal. One is a serious snuggler and the other is extremely playful!

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I like to familiarize myself with the home and identify any potential hazards, as well as secure all doors and windows. I try my best to stick to the cat's typical routine for feeding and playtime and communicate regularly with parents for updates or concerns.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I have two - crumpled paper balls and wand toys. My cats enjoy these so much and it caters to their hunting and chasing instincts.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I give timid cats their space and time to approach me first. I avoid any sudden movements or loud noises to ensure they feel safe. I also bring a tasty treat so they will associate me with a positive experience and we build trust. Sometimes it takes a couple of visits for them to fully warm up to me and that's okay.

Alyssa was great with my cat who is a bit shy. She has great communication, sent lots of cute pics, let me know if Ziggy ate soft food and generally how the visit went. Ziggy ate soft food every day which was important to stay hydrated and played with Alyssa. I highly recommend her as a cat sitter.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
