What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I started cat sitting professionally at the beginning of the year. My business has grown steadily since then and I have loved meeting so many new feline friends and helping out their pet parents.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I have a client who travels very regularly, so I see his cat often. I love how this has allowed me to create a deeper relationship with his cat, and I truly enjoy the time that I get to spend with him.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

My cat Kismet is very attached to me. She follows me around and sits in my lap whenever I sit down. I love to watch her jump and play with her favorite toys- even at 10 years old!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I like to do a complimentary Meet and Greet meeting to see the space and learn where everything is. This allows me to meet your kitty, test the key, and discuss any special concerns or logistics.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am usually available during holidays.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I volunteer at a local shelter doing cat socialization. I have learned to read the signs of a cat and allow them what they need to feel comfortable. Sometimes this is just sitting quietly and giving them extra time. Sometimes it is an encouraging treat, and others it is an enclosed space to make them feel safe. Speaking gently in low tones can be calming and reassuring, but ultimately it’s up to the animal to decide when they are comfortable to interact.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
